This was the 10th run of KES, BI/SeaProf’s intensive 3 day introduction to shipping course.
This course is run in Singapore twice each year in March and October. Participant employers are entitled to access both the MPA’s MCF 70% training grant with the balance of fees being effectively absorbed by Singapore’s PIC grant of 60%. This is a great deal for all concerned through the generous support offered by the Singapore government whose goal is to enhance and maintain Singapore’s world class maritime talent and services hub.
SeaProf was pleased to present a new intermediate / advanced course developed together in the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA). This course engaged attendees with a comprehensive analysis of current shipping market economics and the financing alternatives available in an evolving global economy.
The course content was based on HSBA’s MBA in Shipping programme as well as the recently published HSBA Handbook on Ship Finance. This new publication presents fresh ideas and concepts to the shipping and ship finance communities. It provides the viewpoints of experts along with a compilation of solutions successfully employed by decision makers and specialists to tackle complex market and financial circumstances.
This course was presented by Prof Orestis Schinas, Professor of Shipping & Ship Finance at the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA). Dr Schinas is a leading academic in the fields of shipping economics and finance. He is also the senior editor and contributing author to the HSBA Handbook on Ship Finance.
