SeaProf is a specialist maritime executive education company based in Singapore, one of the world’s leading container ports and maritime knowledge centres. It was established in 2010 to provide a dedicated education venue for the creation and production of both public and in-house maritime executive short courses in Singapore and the Asian region.
Captain Robert Gordon, Managing Director & Principal Lecturer
SeaProf’s founder, Captain Robert Gordon, LLB, LLM, is a Master Mariner and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. His experience includes twenty years as a Mariner, Ship’s Pilot and Surveyor, ten years as a Maritime Lawyer practicing in the City of London and over eighteen years as a P&I Correspondent, Defence Specialist and Claims Counsel in Singapore. Captain Gordon has been closely involved with Maritime Education since 2007 when he first started lecturing as an Adjunct Lecturer for the BI Norwegian Business School on their maritime courses in Vietnam and Indonesia. He now leads and presents BI’s shipping modules for NTU’s well known and MPA supported MSc in Maritime Transport programme.
Conrad Gordon is a Director of SeaProf. Working closely with SeaProf’s MD, Conrad is responsible for driving business growth which includes development in new markets and education segments. He is also responsible for the financial oversight of the SeaProf group and he assists in the creation and marketing of new courses. Conrad has lectured to MSc Maritime Transport students at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore on the role of an insurance underwriter, including how insurers manage risk and formulate premiums. Conrad is also a Property & Marine Underwriter with multi-national insurer ACE. Prior to this, Conrad was a Graduate Underwriter with QBE Insurance (Australia) and a Director of SEAsia Claims Services. Conrad holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Western Australia (UWA) and is an Associate Member of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Ashley Loke, Course Co-ordinator
Ashley co-ordinates all SeaProf course related functions in Singapore and assists with marketing responsibilities. She has over 10 years of industry experience including 4 years in logistics and supply chain management and 6 years of project management work in the maritime and offshore industries. Ashley attended Nanyang Technological University where she obtained a Bachelor of Civil & Structural Engineering Degree and a Master of Civil & Environmental Engineering degree with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering. She then obtained a SkillsFuture study award to pursue her Master of Science Degree in Maritime Studies at NTU. She will graduate in May 2017. Ashley is a strong advocate of continuous self-improvement and skills upgrading through life-long learning.
Amanda Geary, Social Media Manager
Amanda has been involved in the maritime industry for over 15 years. This includes over a decade of experience working onboard cruise liners at officer rank as a Crew Training and Development Manager with a number of market leaders. These included Princess Cruises, P&O Australia, Cunard and Royal Caribbean International. Amanda also has over six years of experience in shore based Marine Recruitment and associated Social Media Coordination. Amanda holds several university degrees including an Honours Degree in Outdoor Recreation Parks & Tourism with a Specialisation in Leadership, a Bachelor of English Degree, a Bachelor of Geography Degree and a Post Secondary Degree in Education & Training. She now co-ordinates all social media functions for SeaProf and assists with online curriculum development and design responsibilities.
